CONNECTION TO CABLE OR PAY TELEVISION
There are several different types of cable TV systems at present. Therefore, there may be situations
where you use your N926U in conjunction with cable TV services.
The N926U is capable of tuning 28 cable TV channels in addition to VHF and UHF channels to accomo-
date the increasing popularity of cable TV.
When you connect the N926U to your cable TV system, the following should be taken into consideration.
Situation 1
Cable TV with only 12 channels:
In this situation, as illustrated, a simple hookup is all that is needed to have access to and programma-
bility of all available cable channels.

In most areas served by cable companies, all local broadcasts are carried on the cable with additional pro-
gramming. (VHF broadcasts are carried as they are, and UHF broadcasts are converted into unoccupied
VHF channels or cable TV channels.) In this case, a simple cable connection is all that required.
Connect the cable line to the ANT IN terminal of the N926U.
Connect the RF OUT terminal of the VCR to the VHF antenna terminal of your television, using an
RF cable.
You can record the same program you are watching by setting the VCR!TV select button to VCR and
the TV channel selector to the video channel (3 or 4).
You can record one program while watching a different one by setting the VCR/TV select button to
TV. Then select the program to be recorded with the VCR channel selector, and the one to be watch-
ed with the TV channel selector (assuming that the TV itself also has full channel selection capa-
bility.)
