3. Open flip and insert hinge mechanism. Swing flip +/- 5
4. Gently push mechanism in until it stops with portion of hinge mechanism cover exposed (See
Figure 7-26).
5. Place installation tool onto hinge mechanism cover (See Figure 7-29).
6. Ensure posts on mechanism aligned with slots in tool head.
7. Gently turn tool head 9
with mechanism.
8. Push mechanism inward firmly about 4mm until fully seated (See Figure 7-30).
9. Check proper Flip activation by pushing cam with end of black stick. If operation incorrect,
remove components, check for binding, bad cam mechanism...etc. Retry assembly.
10. Attach hinge bushing (See Figure 7-27) and hinge button: Align two posts on mechanism with
slots on interior side of pushbutton. Clips on button insert into square hole on mechanism. Push
until button opens flip and is almost flush. Replace Hinge cover.
11. Screw T4 into Left Knuckle. Torque at 0.5 +/- 0.1 in lbs. Re-check Flip operation.
