Cause and remedy
The sensitivity level of the sensors has changed.
 Make sure that there is no direct light (from the sun
or from an artificial source) falling onto the hob.
The area surrounding the hob must not be too
dark.
 Make sure that there is nothing covering the
sensors or the hob.
Take any pans off the hob and wipe away any food
deposits.
 Interrupt the power supply to the hob for approx.
1 minute.
 If the problem persists after power has been re-
stored, please contact Miele.
Operating both zones at power level 9 exceeds the
permitted maximum power for the two zones.
 Use a different cooking zone.
It has been operated for too long.
 Switch the cooking zone back on (see "Familiar-
isation – Safety switch-off").
The overheating protection mechanism has been ac-
tivated.
 Allow the hob to cool down.
 Rectify the causes of the overheating (see "Famili-
arisation – Overheating protection").
 Check that the hob is working.
 If the problem occurs again, contact the Customer
Service Department.
