6.1 Troubleshooting

Symptom
1. "POWER" LED
cannot be lit by
pressing power
switch.
2. "D LAMP" LED
2
does not light.
3. "POWER" LED
lights in orange.
4. Leak error
occurs.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
For operation and maintenance/checkup of personal computer
(PC), printer and HPLC modules, refer to their instruction
manuals.
Troubleshooting is described here with regard to the
ChromasterUltra Rs 6430 Diode Array detector proper.
Cause
(1) Power cord plug
has poor contact
(2) Lamp cover is not
mounted properly
(protection circuit
is activated).
(1) Lead wire of light
source lamp is
not connected
properly.
(2) The lamp has
reached end of its
usable life.
SYSTEM error
(1) Liquid has leaked.
(2) "Contaminant"
has stuck to leak
sensor.

Turn on power supply
again. If the same
symptom recurs, start
maintenance software
and check error message.

Remedy
Plug in the power
cord securely.
Retighten the lamp
cover fastening
screws.
Connect the lead wire
of light source lamp
again so as to match
the indication on
terminal block.
Replace the lamp
with a new one.
Refer to "Error
Messages."
Wipe off the liquid
that has leaked in
drain receiver.
Wipe off the liquid
that has adhered to
leak sensor.
Wipe off
"contaminant" from
the leak sensor.
