6. Select Assign Global Hot Spare Drive.
7. Select Start Operation, and then select OK.
8. Return to the TOP menu screen.
9. Select Drive Management.
10. Select View Global Hot Spare.
11. Confirm that a hot spare drive has been created.
12. Exit LSI Software RAID Configuration Utility.

To cancel the HotSpare setting, select Drive Management, Select Drive Operations, and
then select Unassign Hot Spare Drive.
