4. Mark the locations of the other 2 holes using a
1/4-inch center drill bit
Note:
You may use a 1/4-inch drill bit if you do
not have a centering drill.
5. Drill holes (3/8-inch diameter) at the marked
locations, slotting the rear hole with the hole
from the guide rod.
6. Remove the templates.
7. Paint any bare metal on the frame before
installing the track guide.
8. Install a track guide using 3 button-head bolts
(Figure 8).

9. Apply thread-locking compound to the bolts and
torque them to 27 to 34 N∙m (20 to 25 ft-lb).
10. Repeat this procedure for inner track frame
(Figure 9).
Note:
You can access the inner guide rod from
beneath the machine.

Installing the Track
Parts needed for this procedure:
2 Track (optional, sold separately)
Procedure
Note:
Complete the procedure for both tracks.
1. Install the front road wheel
the nut to 183 to 223 N∙m (135 to 165 ft-lb).
2. Beginning at the drive wheel, coil a new or
existing track around the wheel, ensuring that
the lugs on the track fit between the spacers on
the wheel
Note:
Ensure that the lugs in the track fit
between the spacers in the middle of the drive
wheel.
3. Push the track under and between the road
wheels (Figure

4. Starting at the bottom of the front wheels, install
the track around the wheels by rotating the track
rearward while pushing the lugs into the wheels.
5. In the outer front wheels, clean the old grease
and dirt out of the area between where the
washers were installed and the bearings inside
the wheels, then fill this area on each side of
each wheel with grease
6. Install the outer front wheel and 2 washers on
the axle as shown in
the nut removed previously.
7. Torque the nuts to 340 to 475 N∙m (250 to 350
ft-lb).
