[EXAMPLE]
For the example, when the horizontal distance between t w o
signals is 4 . 4 divisions. T h e S W E E P T I M E / D I V is 0 . 2
(ms/div). (See Fig. 26)
Substituting the given value:
Time = 4 . 4 (div) x 0 . 2 (ms/div) = 0 . 8 8 ms

1. In the s a m e w a y as the ordinary measurement, adjust
waveforms to be measured to an easy-to-observe
position.
2. Set the cursor mode to A T .
3. Adjust the A R E F cursor to the left point time difference
between w h i c h is to be measured, and the A cursor to
the right.
4. Measured value is displayed in the upper right part on
the screen.

Pulse width can be measured as follows:
Procedure:
1. Apply the pulse signal to the INPUT jack. Set the verti-
cal MODE s w i t c h to the channel to be u s e d .
2. Use the V O L T S / D I V , V A R I A B L E and % POSITION to ad-
just the waveform s u c h that the pulse is easily observed
and s u c h that the center pulse width coincides w i t h the
center horizontal line on the C R T s c r e e n .
3. Set the S W E E P V A R I A B L E s w i t c h to C A L . Measure the
horizontal distance between the intersections of the pulse
waveform and C R T center horizontal line in divisions, and
multiply the measured distance by the value indicated
by S W E E P T I M E / D I V . If the " x 1 0 M A G " mode is being
used, also multiply the product by 1/10.
Using the formula:
Pulse width = Horizontal distance (div) x ( S W E E P TIME/DIV
setting) x " x MAG 1 0 " v a l u e - i (1/10)

{EXAMPLE]
For the example, the distance (width) at the center horizon-
tal line is 4 . 6 divisions and the S W E E P T I M E / D I V is 0.2
(ms/div). (See Fig. 28)
Substituting the given value:
Pulse width = 4 . 6 (div) x 0 . 2 (ms/div) = 0 . 9 2 m s
