Key Features
● PC is not required for basic operations.
● Video and audio that have been input are compressed in the MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 Layer II formats respectively
and sent to the network (100BASE-TX).
● Optimal bitrate and video quality can be selected according to the network bandwidth.
Preset bitrates can be selected on the front panel.
● DV input is possible from IEEE1394. Conversion from DV to MPEG-2 in digital is possible.
● RS232C/RS422 serial control pass-through terminal is equipped for control of external device such as video switcher.
● Standard network protocols compliant.
Stream transmission and control are RTP and RTSP compliant. Multicast/Unicast is available. Sends/Receives
serial control data via UDP.
● 2U half rack size. Mounting onto EIA rack is possible.
(Use of a mount bracket (to be purchased separately) is required.)
● This encoder and decoder have some delay of audio/video due to the nature of the MPEG format.
This equipment comes equipped with a Normal mode that gives priority to video quality, as well as a Low Delay
mode to shorten delay time.
