8-8 Troubleshooting
The cleaning cartridge cannot be ejected.
If a cleaning cartridge that has already been used up was inserted or cleaning did not
finish normally because the cartridge was used up during cleaning, the cleaning
cartridge might not be ejected to notify you of this.
→ Press the EJECT button to eject the cleaning cartridge, and then re-execute
cleaning by using a new cleaning cartridge.
The data cartridge is ejected.
Reading the cartridge might be taking a while. Wait until reading the cartridge ends.
If a reading error occurs, replace the cartridge.
→ Make sure that the correct data cartridge is being used.
→ Make sure that the drive and cartridge combination is correct. For example, make
sure that an LTO1 or LTO2 cartridge is not being used in an LTO5 drive.
→ Make sure that a cartridge for which operation is guaranteed (such as an N or EF
model number cartridge) is being used.
→ Make sure that the used cartridge's life has not ended.
→ Make sure that no error has occurred for the cartridge being used.
→ If the heads are dirty, reading or writing might fail and the cartridge might be
ejected. Clean the drive.
