INSTALLING THE TAPE DEVICE DRIVER

To install the tape device driver in the server, use the attached "N8404-005 Tape Blade AT101b
Driver CD".
Prepare the CD-ROM in advance.
Installation procedures for Windows Server 2008 (32-bit) operating system are described below.
Installation procedures for other operating system are basically the same.
To read the driver (.inf file) from the CD-ROM, first specify the folder that contains an operating
system you are using.

For Windows Server 2008 (32bit)

1.
Open "Win" folder found in the attached CD-ROM. Double click "tape_drv" folder icon.

Open "x.86" folder and execute "install_exclusive.exe" to start installation.
NOTE: To use NTBackup, execute "install_nonexclusive.exe".

A dialog box appears after completion of installation.
4.
Please confirm if "IBM ULTRIUM-HH5 SCSI Sequential Device" can be found under
"Tape Drive" in Device Manager dialog box.
This completes installation of tape device driver.
