Engine Removal
Engine: Service and Repairs
1. Park the machine on a level surface. Stop the engine, wait for all moving
parts to stop and remove the key.
Fuel is very flammable and explosive under some conditions. Do not
smoke or let flames or sparks in your work area.
2. Drain the engine oil and fuel into a suitable container.
3. Remove the shroud from the machine.
4. Remove the recoil handle from the rope guide.
5. Remove the 3 (1/4-20 x 5/8 inch) screws securing the belt cover to the auger
housing. Remove the belt cover from the auger housing.
6. Unhook the extension spring from the idler arm.

7. Remove the (1/4-20 x 7/8 inch) screw and Belleville washer securing the
rotor pulley to the rotor shaft.
