15. USER SETTING DATA TOOL OPERATING PROCEDURES
This tool allows saving the setting contents of the machine into a PC.
If the user's request on the setting is known in advance, make the requested setting by using a machine of the same model in the sales
depot before installing the product in the user's site, and save the setting to a PC. After installation, transfer the setting in the PC to the
user's PC. (There are some setting contents which cannot be saved.)
(CAUTION)
The saved information can be used only a set of one model. When the information is saved to other model, the operation of that model is
not guaranteed.
15-1. OPERATING CONDITIONS OF THE USER
SETTING DATA TOOL
The operating conditions of the Gamma setting read tool of the
information display are as follows.
・Windows XP
・Windows Vista
・Windows 7
OS
(32bit Only)
An authorized copying and distribution
package of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 or
later is required to be installed.
・ RS-232C port recognized as a COM port
Communication
(Which allows communication in 9600/
port
19200/ 38400bps.)
■When connected to the information display with an RS-232C
cable
The required RS-232C cable is as shown below. Connect the
PC's COM port and the RS-232C input terminal of the display
with the cable.
* The conversion cable for RS-232C connection is necessary.

Press [User Setting data] button of the service tool launcher.

1 ) Press [Connection Setting] button to make connection setting.
2 ) Turn ON the information display.
3 ) Select the range of set values to be backed up.

Almost all preset values are saved except a
setup
changed by the state of a main part.
Information which is not saved
- The preset value etc. which change with
input
signals, such as a clock and a phase
Picture Only
Only setup of image adjustment is saved.
4 ) Press [Backup ...] button.
5 ) The dialog for saving the file is displayed. The initial file name
is "[Model name]_[Serial number]_[Date(YYYYMMDD)].bak".
Check the file name and press [Save] button to save the user
setting values.

1 ) Click [Connection Setting] button to make connection setting.
2 ) Turn ON the information display.
3 ) Click [Write ...] button, and select the saved backup file.
4 ) After completion of restoring, the information display is reset.
(CAUTION)
When the massage of "This Monitor is not Support. Is restore
processing continued?", "Backup data is not for this monitor. Is
restore processing continued?", "Serial Number is different
between monitor and backup data. Is restore processing
continued?", or "Model Name is different between monitor and
backup data. Is restore processing continued?" is displayed,
the backup of the target set may be failed. Check again, and
perform restoring.
(MEMO)
WHEN "TIME OUT. CANNOT CONNECT. PLEASE CONFIRM
SETTING." IS DISPLAYED:
・ Check the power status of the information displayed which is
connected.
・ Check to confirm that the PC and the information display are
properly connected with an RS-232C cable.
