    OPERATION The operation of any snowthrower can result in foreign objects being thrown into the eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Always wear safety glasses or eye shields before beginning snowthrower operation. We recommend standard safety glasses or Wide Vision Safety Mask over spectacles.     MAINTENANCE ENGINE MAINTENANCE Bearings and Bushings: All bearings and bushings are lifetime lubri- cated and require no maintenance. NOTE: Overfilling the engine can affect performance. Tighten the oil fill cap securely to prevent leakage. NOTE: Oil level must be at FULL mark. Change Oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once a year, even if the snowthrower is not used for fifty hours.

    MAINTENANCE REPLACE THE DRIVE BELT The drive belt is of special construction and must be replaced with original factory replacement belt available from your nearest dealer. 1. Remove the belt cover. See “Remove The Belt Cover”. 2. Remove the drive belt (A, Figure 22) from the idler pulley (B).

    MAINTENANCE CHECK AND ADJUST AUGER CONTROL CABLE NOTE: The auger control cable is adjusted at the factory and no adjustment should be necessary. If the cable becomes stretched or is sagging, adjustment will be necessary. NOTE: Whenever the belt is adjusted or replaced, the cable will need to be adjusted.
