Removing the I-Terminal
Wire from the Alternator
Parts needed for this procedure:
1
Wire cap
1
Wire label
1
Vinyl cap
1
Nut (M5)
1
Cable tie
Procedure
1.
Locate and remove the I-terminal wire (green
wire) on the alternator

2. Ring terminal (I-terminal
wire)
3. I-terminal wire (green wire) 6. Alternator post—R

Cut off and discard the ring terminal from the
wire
(Figure
12).
3.
Install the wire cap on the end of the cut green
wire and crimp
(Figure
(Figure
12).

Install the wire label onto the wire
5.
Use a cable tie to secure the wire to the wire
harness.
6.
Install a nut (M5) flush with the top of the
alternator post
7.
Install a vinyl cap over the alternator post

Note:
The nut (M5) helps to secure the vinyl
cap over the post.
