Replace DCA4 Coolant Filter Cartridge

WARNING: Do not remove expansion tank cap (1)
until the coolant temperature in the radiator is cool.
Hot steam may spout out, possibly causing severe
burns. After the coolant temperature cools, slowly
loosen expansion tank cap (1) to release the inside air
pressure before removing expansion tank cap (1).
1. Park the machine following the same procedures as
described on page 7-8 for preparation of inspection/
maintenance work.
2. Turn to remove cap (1) slowly.
3. Turn to close coolant shut-off valves (2).
4. Remove and properly dispose of coolant filter (3).
5. Clean the filter head gasket surface.
6. Apply a light film of clean engine oil to the gasket
surface of a new DCA4 coolant filter cartridge (WF2072).

NOTE: The filter WF2071 is initially installed when the
machine is shipped from the factory. Refer to page 7-82 for
the filter to be used.
