You can use the keypad to enter simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, and English
characters, symbols and numbers. For example, when you add entries to the Contacts, write
messages or schedule events on the calendar, you need to enter text.
Note:
While entering characters or symbols:
Press and hold the number key corresponding to the number over the desired
character or symbol on the lower part of the screen, and then the desired character or
symbol appears on the editing field.
Press the scroll keys to select the desired characters or symbols to the editing field.

"Pinyin" Text Input

Based on the most common-used Pinyin combinations, the Pinyin text input method helps
you input Chinese characters quickly and conveniently.
Press the keys carrying the desired letters in turn of the desired Pinyin combination. Press
a key for once without regard to the position of the desired letter on the key. The Pinyin
text input method will select the most suitable Pinyin combination automatically according
to the rules of Pinyin.
