Setup

Installing the Handle

Secure each side of the handle to the plate compactor frame
using a bolt, flat washer, spacer, bearing, and nut (Figure 3
or Figure 4).

Checking the Engine-oil Level

The machine comes from the factory with oil in the engine
crankcase; however, it may be necessary to add oil; refer to
Checking the Engine-oil Level (page 7). Add only enough oil
to raise the level to the Full mark on the dipstick.
Checking the Eccentric-oil
Level
The machine comes from the factory with eccentric oil in
the eccentric housing; however, it may be necessary to add
oil; refer to Servicing the Eccentric Oil (page 15). Add only
enough oil so that the oil level is flush with the oil plug on the
side of the eccentric housing.
