Accessory wiring kit, groundsmaster 4000-d and 4100-d series traction unit

10. Secure the ground wires (ring terminals) from the
accessory and power harness' to the grounding bolt
located beneath the fuse blocks (Figure 2).
Important: When routing the harness, do not
pull it across sharp edges which may damage
the wires. Wires must not contact any hot or
moving parts. Secure the wire harness with wire
ties.
11. Connect the (2) spade terminals from the accessory
wire harness to the (2) spade terminals on the fuse
block wires (Figure 4).

12. Plug the connector from the power wire harness
into the existing fuse block connector (located at the
fuse block (Figure 4).
13. Plug the connector from the power wire harness into
the new fuse block connector (Figure 4).
14. Install the fuses (Figure 4) as follows:
For snow thrower applications, use (1) 10 amp fuse
supplied with the snow thrower and (1) 30 amp
thermal breaker furnished with the kit.
Note: The 30 amp thermal breaker is used for the
chute rotating circuit.
For rotary broom applications, use (2) 5 amp fuses
furnished with the kit (Do not use a 30 amp thermal
breaker).
Note: Make sure the fuses are installed in the
corresponding slots that have the wire connected
to the harness.
15. Affix the fuse decals to the corresponding locations
on the fuse block decal (Figure 5). Make sure the

decal surface is clean and dry before affixing the
decals.

16. Plug the power relay into the connector on the
power wire harness (Figure 4).
17. Secure the wire and relay to the control console with
a cable tie (Figure 4).
18. Unplug the spade terminal from the "I" terminal
(stand alone terminal) on the ignition switch
(Figure 6).

19. Plug the spade terminal from the power wire harness
onto the switch terminal (Figure 6).
20. Plug the remaining connector into the wire connector
disconnected from the switch (Figure 6).
21. Affix the mounting pads to underside of operator
platform at locations shown in Figure 7. Clean the
mounting surface well before affixing the pads.
