Installing the GPS antenna

Antenna installation

The antenna is mounted on a console for mounting on a horizontal or vertical flat surface or on an
antenna mast.

Mount the antenna and console clear of flat surfaces such as buildings walls, roofs and windows to
avoid signal reflections. If necessary, protect the antenna from animals and birds which can affect
signal strength. Also protect the antenna against lightning.
Always position the antenna and its console so that a continuous clear line-of-sight visibility to all
directions is obtained, preferably more than 75%. A minimum of 50% clear line-of-sight visibility is
required for un-interrupted operation.
