Inserting and Removing a Cutter Bit
(Fig. A, E)
nOTE: Bits are not included but are available as an accessory.
1. Separate the motor unit

2. Hold the motor unit
while pressing the spindle lock

5. To remove the cutter, hold the motor shaft while pressing
the spindle lock

6. Using the 17 mm wrench, loosen the collet nut 
turns and remove the cutter.
Replacing the Collet (Fig. A, E)
The laminate trimmer is supplied with an 6 mm collet fitted to
the tool. (GB / LX trimmers come with a 1/4" collet.)
1. Loosen the collet nut

2. Remove the collet
and replace it.

3. Tighten the collet nut

nOTE: Never tighten the collet nut
a router bit in it. Tightening an empty collet nut, even by hand,
can damage the collet

Depth of Cut Adjustment (Fig. C, D)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn tool off and disconnect tool from power
source before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An accidental
start-up can cause injury.
1. Select and install the desired cutter. Refer to Inserting and
Removing a Cutter Bit.
2. Insert motor into base, ensuring base is attached to
the adjustment ring
. Place laminate trimmer on the

work piece.
3. Open the locking lever

until the cutter touches the work piece. Turning
the ring clockwise raises the cutter while turning it
counterclockwise lowers the cutting head.
4. Turn the micro adjustment scale
lines up with the pointer on the quick release tab
5. Turn the depth adjustment ring until the pointer lines
up with the desired depth of cut marked on the micro
adjustment scale. nOTE: Each mark on the adjustment scale
represents a depth change of 0.5 mm.
6. Close the locking lever

OPERATION

Instructions for Use

Proper Hand Position (Fig. G)

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury,
ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, ALWAYS hold securely in anticipation of a
sudden reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the motor base with
the other hand on the motor cap as shown.
Starting and Stopping the Motor (Fig. A, B)
To turn unit on, pull the on/off switch
depress the switch back down into the motor housing. Refer to
Figure B.
Using an Edge Guide (Fig. A)
An edge guide is included with your laminate trimmer for use
with non-piloted bits on curved or straight applications.
1. Remove the screw

in the back of the fixed base.
2. Slide edge guide into edge guide slot
base. Tighten hardware.
nOTE: To remove the edge guide, reverse the above procedure.
After removing edge guide, always replace the screw
the storage hole on the back of the base to prevent it from
being lost.
Direction of Feed (Fig. F)
The direction of feed is very important when trimming and
can make the difference between a successful job and a ruined
project. Figure F shows the proper direction of feed for some
typical cuts.
