Engine Maintenance

Servicing the Air Cleaner

Service Interval: Before each use or daily—Check
Every 50 hours—Clean the air-filter elements
(more frequently if conditions are dusty or
sandy).
Every 200 hours—Replace the paper air-filter
element (more frequently if conditions are dusty
or sandy).
Important:
Do not operate the engine without
the air-filter assembly; extreme engine damage
can occur.
Note:
If the engine is low on power, produces black
smoke, or runs unevenly, the air filter may be clogged.

Cleaning the Prefilter
Models 68034 and 68035
Service Interval: Every 50 hours

Open the cover of the machine

Remove the screws that secure the cover to
