Description of Cleaning mode (Pyrolytic Cleaning)
The cleaning mode is used to clean the oven.
In this mode, the oven is heated to approximately 500°C. At
these high temperatures, traces of food are burned, and
can then simply be wiped off after the cleaning operation.
For your safety, during cleaning the oven door is locked
shut. The door lock is only released once the temperature falls below 240°C
after this mode has been switched off. For cleaning, you have a choice of
three programmes of different length: Eco, approx. 75 min: for lightly soiled
surfaces; Normal, approx. 90 min and Intensive, approx. 120 min: for
heavily soiled surfaces. Take care, as surfaces become very hot during
cleaning. Keep children at a distance. Do not pour water into the hot oven.
The sudden generation of steam can cause burns or damage to the oven.
Do not wipe the oven down until it has cooled to a safe level.
The door will only unlock after the internal cavity temperature falls below
240°C and the mains power is still connected.
SAFETY NOTE: Do not use the Pyrolytic function for anything other than its
intended cleaning purpose. Doing so may cause a fire or explosion.
