1. Reinstall the tray cover (see "Install the tray cover" on page 61).
2. Reinstall the tray (see "Install a DWC tray in the enclosure" on page 63).
3. Check the power LED on each node to make sure it changes from fast blink to slow blink to indicate
both nodes are ready to be powered on.
Install an adapter
Use this information to install an adapter.
Before you install an adapter:
1. Read the following section(s) to ensure that you work safely.
• "Installation Guidelines" on page 30
Complete the following steps to remove an adapter.

Step 1.
Align the adapter with the PCIe slot on the riser-cage. Then, carefully press the adapter straight into
the slot until it is securely seated.

Step 2.
Install the PCIe riser assembly.
a.
Align the heat pipe extending from the PCIe riser assembly with the trough in the conduction
plate.
b.
Orient the PCIe riser assembly above the connector.
c.
Press the PCIe riser assembly firmly into the node.
