Install an Internal Faceplate Transition (IFT) adapter

Use this information to install an IFT adapter.
Before you install an IFT adapter:
1. Read the following section(s) to ensure that you work safely.
• "Installation Guidelines" on page 30
Complete the following steps to install an IFT adapter.

Step 1. Connect the IFT cable.
a. Rotate the IFT connector release spring up and away from the cable side of the connector.
b. Connect the IFT connector.
c. Rotate the IFT connector release spring toward the cable side of the connector; then, press it
down until it engages the clips on the processor retainer.
