Enabling Easy Message Access
Easy message access, also called direct message retrieval, is a feature that
lets subscribers sign in quickly to the messaging system when dialing from their
own extension. With this feature enabled and subscribers dial the messaging
system they are immediately asked to enter their security code without having
to enter their personal ID.
Easy message access is enabled by default for all subscribers.
However, this feature can be enhanced by configuring a line key on each
subscriber's phone that dials the messaging system automatically. To do this,
program the phone system to allocate a key on each subscriber's phone to dial
the UCD pilot number.
Disabling Easy Message Access
1.
Log on to the Web administration console, then go to System > Switch >
Switch Information.
2.
In the Integration options field, type EMA=0.
3.
Click Save.
