Sharpening the voice

This function helps you to hear dialog recorded on
the disc/file more easily even with the volume down
low. This function is useful when you are watching a
movie.
NOTE
• "C. VOICE" refers to the Clear Voice function.
• This function does not work for the headphones.

Press [SETTING] repeatedly to
select "C. VOICE SET" in the display
window.
• "C. VOICE SET" refers to a clear voice.

Press [+] or [-] repeatedly to select
"C. VOICE ON" in the display
window.
This indicator lights up when the clear voice
function is activated.
NOTE
• Each time you press [+] or [-] the clear voice
function turns on and off.
• When you want to deactivate the clear voice
function, select "C. VOICE OFF".

Selecting the sound level

When the source is a disc, "DISC" appears on a
display window.
You can increase the sound level when the media in
use is compatible with "Multi ch" such as 5.1ch or
7.1ch. Channels can be recognized when the disc is
played back.

Press [SETTING] repeatedly to
select "SOUND LEVEL" in the
display window.

Press [+] or [-] repeatedly to select
the desired setting in the display
window.
• Each time you press [+] or [-], the sound level
display changes to one of the three levels. The
sound level increases in the order of "SOUND
NORMAL", "SOUND MIDDLE" and "SOUND
HIGH".
• While selecting a sound level, listen to the
actual sound to confirm the difference.
Using the Midnight mode
(MIDNIGHT MODE)
You can enjoy a powerful sound at night using the
Midnight mode.

Press [SETTING] repeatedly to
select "MIDNIGHT SET" in the
display window.

Press [+] or [-] repeatedly to select
the desired setting in the display
window.
• Each time you press [+] or [-], the display
changes in the display window as follows.
- "MIDNIGHT OFF"
Select when you want to enjoy surround with
its full dynamic range. (No effect applied.)
- "MIDNIGHT 1"
Select when you want to reduce the dynamic
range a little.
- "MIDNIGHT 2"
Select when you want to apply the
compression effect fully (useful at night).
