Switch Ports

The RX5000 supports a single Layer 2 or Layer 3 switch module that can operate at 8 or 88 Gbps. The switch
module supports either RJ45, LC (Lucent Connector), SC (Standard or Subscriber Connector) or SFP (Small
Form-factor Pluggable) connectors.
The following are the pin-out descriptions for the RJ45, LC and SC connectors:

Copper Ethernet Ports

The RX5000 supports several 10/100/1000Base-TX Ethernet ports that allow connection to standard Category
5 (CAT-5) unshielded twisted-pair (UTP) cables with RJ45 male connectors. The RJ45 connectors are directly
connected to the chassis ground on the device.
