Select Copy configuration (CFG) files to copy the CFG file for the
board/option. (If you are configuring your computer with an ISA
board that has no CFG file, refer to Configuring an ISA Option
Without a CFG file.
2. Choose a configuration method
CONFIGURE COMPUTER submenu.

Use the basic method if you only need to add or delete boards/
options and set up your computer.

Use the advanced method if you are adding or removing boards, and
changing functions or resources (e.g., changing the parallel port
assignment from LPT1 to LPT2, or changing the IRQ level).
3. If you use the advanced method you will be instructed according to the
selection you choose. Follow these instructions carefully, then install or
remove the option(s).

EISA Board Configuration Files

EISA expansion board manufacturers include a configuration (CFG) file on a
diskette with each board. This file normally includes information about the
board I/O port address, memory address, DMA channel, interrupt level and
power requirements.
The configuration utility and BIOS read and record the following information
from the configuration file:

Identity and characteristics of the board
.
Programmable ports, switches, jumpers, and configuration software
.
All board functions and configuration options
You must copy the corresponding CFG files onto your System Configuration
diskette before you can add boards and options to your computer configuration.
