Connection to the water inlet

,
The water in the machine must
not be used as drinking water.
– The machine must be connected to
the mains water supply in strict
accordance with current local and
national water authority regulations.
– If the water supply has a high iron
content there is a danger of
corrosion occuring on items being
processed in the machine, as well as
in the machine itself.
If the chloride content of the water
exceeds 100mg/l, the risk of
corrosion to items being processed
in the machine will be further
increased.
– If there are too many impurities in the
local water supply, it will be
necessary to operate the steam
condenser with demineralised water.
– This machine is constructed to
comply with German water
regulations (DVGW), and may be
connected to a suitable supply
without an extra non-return valve if
national regulations permit.
– The minimum flow pressure for a
cold and hot water connection is
100 kPa (15 psi) and with an DI water
connection it is 60 kPa (9 psi).
– The recommended flow pressure
for a cold and hot water connection
is 0 250 kPa (37 psi) and for an DI
water connection is 0 150 kPa
(22 psi). Otherwise fill times will be
too long.
– The maximum permitted static
water pressure is 1000 kPa
(145 psi).
– If the water pressure is not in the
range specified above (the
"Fill/Drain" indicator light may come
on and the fault code F E will appear
in the display), please contact the
Miele Service Department for advice.
– The machine is supplied as standard
for connection to a cold (coded blue)
and a hot (coded red) water supply
up to a max. temperature of 70 °C.
Connect the inlet hoses to the
stopcocks for the hot and cold water
supplies.
– If a hot water supply is not available,
the inlet hose coded red should also
be connected to a cold water
stopcock.
– DI water connection - see the
following page.
– Stopcocks with 3/4" male thread are
to be provided on site. They should
be easily accessible so that the
water supply can be turned off when
the machine is not in use.
– The DN 10 inlet hoses are approx.
1.7 m long terminating in a 3/4"
female thread. On no account must
the inlet filters be removed.
