3 Configuring the Storage System
CHAP users created on the OSM3.0 are legal users of the storage system. When the CHAP
authentication is enabled, only these users can access the storage system.
3.11.2 Setting a CHAP User
Set a CHAP user for an iSCSI port.
3.11.3 Enabling CHAP Authentication
Enable CHAP authentication for an iSCSI port.

3.11.1 Creating a CHAP User

CHAP users created on the OSM3.0 are legal users of the storage system. When the CHAP
authentication is enabled, only these users can access the storage system.
Prerequisite
Up to 128 CHAP users can be created.
Procedure
Step 1 On the OSM3.0 main interface, click Mapping. In the Mapping navigation tree, click CHAP
User. The CHAP User Information interface is displayed. See

Step 2 Click Create. The Create CHAP User interface is displayed. See
