Chapter 4: Using the Menu System
Using On-Screen Menus
To display the Main menu, press MENU on the remote control. To use the menu system, you need to use the remote control's (or front
panel's) arrow buttons to highlight your on-screen choice, then use the OK button to select it.
Note: If the HDTV Tuner's Main menu doesn't appear when you press MENU, the remote control might not be in HD TUNER mode. Try pressing the
HD TUNER button on the remote, and then MENU.
Main Menu items
This section briefly describes each of the options available from the Main menu. More information about each menu and its features is
included later in this chapter.
On-Screen Help
If you'd like more information about a particular menu item, highlight that item in the HDTV Tuner's menu system and press INFO on the
remote. The menu system provides a brief explanation of most menu items.

Channel
Search for channels to put into the tuner's main channel list, set your favorite channels, fine tune
analog channels, as well as check the signal strength for digital channels.
Closed Captions
Turn closed captions on or off, as well as customize closed captioning options for analog or digital
broadcasts.
Lock
Change your password and set V-Chip rating limits.
Setup
Set the screen ratio to match your monitor, set the HDTV Tuner's clock, choose the type of digital
sound, and turn Video Noise Reduction on or off.
