5.7 RAID Configuration Settings
Use ETERNUS Web GUI to set RAID configurations in the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system.
Perform the following settings:
•

RAID group creation

Volume creation
•
Hot spare registration
•
This section describes the configuration settings using a case of creating the following volumes as an exam-
ple.
Operation volume
•
Create an operation volume (Standard) in RAID5(4+1) RAID group.
Backup volume
•
Create a generation management volume (SDV) and temporary work volume (SDPV) in RAID5(2+1) RAID
group.

Create RAID groups (groups of drives that configure RAID in the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system) to create
volumes.
Create an operation RAID group and a backup RAID group.
