Check
Ignition
of Surface
Burners
Operation
of all cooktop
and oven burners
should
be
checked
after the range and gas supply
lines have been
carefully
checked
for leaks.

Ignition
Models
Select a top burner
lmob and simultaneously
push in as:d
turn to LITE position.
You will hear a snapping
sound
indicating
proper
operation
of' the spaIk module.
Once
the air has been purged
from the supply lines, burners
should light within 4 seconds. After burner
lights, rotate
tmob out of the LITE
position.
Try each burner
in
succession
until all burners
have been checked.
Quality
of Haines
Tire combustion
quality
of burner
flames needs to be
determined
visually.

cones--Normal for LP gas

Check
Ignition
of Oven
Burner
Your oven is designed
to operate
quietly
and
automatically.
To operate
the oven, turn
the OVEN
SET knob
to a setting
above
300°E
(149°C.).
After
30-90
seconds,
the oven burner
will ignite
and burn
until
the set temperature
is reached.
The oven burner
wil! continue
to cycle on and off as necessary
to
maintain
the oven at the temperature
indicated
by the
OVEN
SET Imobo
To check ignition
of the broil burner,
turn the OVEN
SET knob to BROIL
After 30-90
seconds, the broil
burner
will ignite_
Electric
ignition
models
require
electrical
power
to
opeiateo
In case of a power' outage,
the oven burners
on these models
cannot
be lit manually
with a match,
Gas wit! not flow unless
the glow bar is hot.
If the oven is in use when
a power
outage
occurs,
the
oven burner
will shut offand
cannot
be re-lit until
power' is restored.

Air

Shutters
If Necessary
Mr adjustment
shutters
for' the top and bottom
burners
regulate
the flow of air' to the flames.
If burner
flames look like (A), call for service. Normal
burner
flames should
look like (B) or (C), depending
on the type of gas you use.
With
LP gas, some yellow tipping
on outer
cones is
normal
The
air adjustment
shutter
for the top (broil)
burner
is
in the center
of' the reax" wall of the oven.
