Remaining Tape Time Display

Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA
In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA mode, an
on-screen indicator displays the approximate
remaining tape time in minutes.
During camera recording, press the MENU/
DISPLAY button until the remaining recording
time indicator appears.

Notes:
• If the battery pack or DC cable are removed
from the camcorder and then reattached
while the camcorder has a cassette in it, the
remaining tape time indicator will not be
displayed. In this case, record for about
10 seconds to display the remaining tape time
indicator.
• The remaining tape time indicator only shows the
approximate time left. Also, it varies slightly
depending on the length of tape used. (This
function is based on the DVM60 tape standard.)
When the remaining tape time reaches
1 minute, a warning indicator will appear.
Prepare a new cassette.

Remaining Battery Power

When using the camcorder with the battery
pack as the power source, you can turn on and
off the remaining battery power display by
pressing the MENU/DISPLAY button.
If the battery power becomes very low, a
warning indicator will appear. Replace the
battery pack.

Notes:
• Use the remaining battery power indicator only
as an approximate indication.
• Variations in the operational status of the
camcorder can greatly reduce or increase the
remaining operating time displayed.
• Use of the zoom functions when the warning
indicator is displayed may cause the camcorder
to suddenly lose power.
• This camcorder supports an intelligent battery
function. Use of the optional BT-LS222 or BT-
LS442A intelligent battery pack allows the
number of minutes of continuous operating time
that remains to be displayed on the screen
based on the remaining battery power.
