ICSConfig Program

78-10360-02
Description
Provides unified monitoring, configuration, and
authentication of interconnected switches through a
web-based interface.
Offers management redundancy supported by the Hot
Standby Router Protocol (HSRP), support for IEEE 802.1p
class of service (CoS) for classification and preferential
treatment of high-priority traffic.
Manages network security through the Terminal Access
Controller Access Control System Plus (TACACS+)
feature.
Enables a telephony network consisting of IP terminals,
gateways, and voice applications.
Provides signaling and call control services to Cisco
integrated multimedia applications, as well as third-party
applications.
The ICSConfig program is a component that is installed on the SPE running
System Manager. When the Cisco ICS 7750 is started for the first time, the system
must collect certain configuration information to communicate with the network.
ICSConfig runs a discovery routine that identifies all the cards and the software
installed on the cards. If the discovery routine finds errors, it displays error
messages. The discovery stage must finish without any errors before the
configuration stage can begin.
The web-based ICSConfig program enables the installer to enter system setup and
network information, including the following:
IP address information for the systems cards installed in the ICS 7750 chassis
Network and Dynamic Host Configuration Program (DHCP) information for
IP phones and other network devices
Domain Name Server (DNS) and gateway information
