ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Multiple
wiring
configurations
FF-SRM200P2 muting module. General guidelines are
provided only because there are various ways to interface
the module to machine control circuitry. Refer to the
important
application
warnings
examples for more details.
SAFETY RELAY MODULE DAMAGE
Ensure that the voltages applied to the FF-SRM200P2 module
inputs S11/S12, S13/S14, S21/S22, S23/S24, S31/S32,
S33/S34 are within the specifications (24 Vdc ±15 %).
Do not supply any external voltage to the FF-SRM200P2
module inputs (S41/S42, S43/S44) and the static outputs
(48 and 58), receiving their voltage (24 Vdc) internally.
Failure to comply with these instructions could result
in product damage.
POWER SUPPLY RANGE
Compliance with the specified supply voltage (24 Vdc
±15 %) is strictly necessary.
Use of a regulated and stabilised power supply is necessary
to power the safety devices, sensors and the module (e.g.
the Honeywell FF-SXZPWR050 power supply)
Running the module with a low or high supply voltage
than specified may cause fatal errors that need to be
reset (see Diagnostic Informations).
Failure to comply with these instructions could result
in product damage.

MODULE INPUTS
the
The FF-SRM200P2 has 6 voltage free opto-coupler inputs
(terminals S11/S12, S13/S14, S21/S22, S23/S24, S31/S32
and S33/S34) for the connection of the safety devices and
the muting sensors. Honeywell safety devices and muting
sensors with safety relay contacts or PNP or NPN static
outputs can be connected to these inputs. Refer to chapter
« Mode Setting » and « Application Examples » for detailed
information on the electrical connection.
The following Honeywell safety devices are compatible with
the FF-SRM200P2 :
1. Without test input connection
• FF-SYA type 4 safety light curtains
• FF-SG type 4 safety light curtains
• FF-SLG18147 and FF-SLG30147 type 2 safety light
curtain models
• FF-SLG234 type 2 access detection light curtain
• FF-SB type 4 safety light curtains
• FF-LS type 4 safety light curtains
• FF-SCAN type 4 modular light curtains
• FF-SPS4 type 4 single safety beam and access control
systems
• FF-SM type 3 safety mats
• FF-SE type 3 laser scanner
• Electromechanical safety switches
2. With test input connection (refer to chapter « Test Input »)
• FF-SLG18 and FF-SLG30 type 2 safety light curtains (all
models with the exception of FF-SLG18147B2 and
FF-SLG30147B2)
The following types of 3-wire or 4-wire muting sensors
with normally open output characteristics (when not
activated) can be connected (not exhaustive list) :
• Limit switches
• Proximity sensors
• Photoelectric sensors
• Ultrasonic sensors
NOTICE
2-WIRE SENSORS
2-wire sensors may not be compatible with the
FF-SRM200P2 inputs.
COINCIDENCE TIME OF SAFETY DEVICE INPUTS
Signals between redundant safety device inputs S11 to
S14 (all modes) and S21 to S24 (2 muting sensor modes,
mutual exclusion modes) must be applied within a max.
time of 2,5 s. Otherwise a « fatal error » occurs that needs
to be reset by removing the power.
CONNECTION OF MUTABLE OR NON-MUTABLE
SAFETY DEVICES
All muting modes : connect the mutable safety device to inputs
S11/S12 and S13/S14. 2 muting sensor modes only : a second
safety device can be connected to S21/S22 and S23/S24 that
may be mutable or non-mutable (mode depending).
CONNECTION OF UNUSED SAFETY DEVICE INPUTS
(WHEN NOT USING TEST INPUT)
Muting modes for safety devices without test input : unused
safety device inputs must be connected to power (S21, S23
to (dc-) ; S22, S24 to (dc+)).
CONNECTION OF UNUSED SAFETY DEVICE INPUTS
(WHEN USING TEST INPUT)
Muting modes for safety devices with test input : terminal
58 is used as test output that must be connected to the test
input of each safety device. Unused safety device inputs
must be connected to power (S21, S23 to (dc-)) and to the
test output (S22 and S24 to 58).
ACTIVATION OF MUTED SAFETY DEVICES
Only in the muting modes 50 to 59 (1 non-mutable and
1 mutable safety device AND the safety devices with test
input connected), the mutable safety device needs to be
activated during the muting sequence. In all other modes,
no safety device needs to be activated.
