Technical Information
Cause:
The reed switch (B1-2) on the drain pump is not switching. There is too much
space between the magnets in the switch and thus the reed switch will not
close.
Remedy:
1. Disconnect the reed switch from the power electronic.
2. Overfill the drain pump. Fill the cavity with water until the drain area in the
cavity base is filled up.
3. Check the resistance of the reed switch plug.
Note:
The reed switch has an infinite resistance for an empty condensate pump
(reed switch open) and a resistance of zero ohms for a full condensate
pump (reed switch closed).
4. Turn the reed switch in its holder until the resistance measures 0 ohms.
5. Mark the position, in which the reed switch closes, with a waterproof pen
on the reed switch.
Note:
The marking makes a new test after turning the reed switch unnecessary.
6. Reconnect the reed switch plug to the power electronic.
Note:
The appliance will automatically pump off the extra water after switch-on.
Cause:
The float in the drain pump is jammed.
Remedy:
Replace the drain pump. See Section 035-4.3.
Cause:
Power electronic (N1-1) defective.
Remedy:
Replace the power electronic. See Section 045-4.8.
