Remove (4) Phillips head screws and flat
washers shown in Figure 41 to remove pul-
ley cover.

Loosen (2) set screws on 45° stop nut shown
in Figure 42.
7.
Adjust 45° stop nut shown in Figure 42 until
platen is 45° to table, then tighten set screw
from Step 6 to secure.

— If platen is 45° to table, but angle scale
does not display 45°, angle scale needs to
be calibrated (perform Step 7 then refer to

Calibrating Platen Angle Scale).

Install pulley cover.

Angle Scale
The platen angle scale was calibrated at the fac-
tory, but if it the actual platen angle in relation to
the table is different than the angle displayed on
the scale, the scale will need to be calibrated.
Tools Needed
90° Square ........................................................ 1
Phillips Head Screwdriver #2 ............................ 1
Open-End Wrench 12mm .................................. 1
To calibrate platen angle scale:
1.
DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2.
Refer to Steps 1—6 of Squaring Platen to
Table on Page 31.
3.
Loosen jam nut shown in Figure 43.
4.
Adjust adjustment nut shown in Figure 43
until scale displays 0°, then tighten jam nut
from Step 3 to secure.

Install back cover and left side cover.
