INSTALLATION OF PALLADIO USB BLUETOOTH
Before starting:
In case you want to use a different Bluetooth (not a digicom one) refer to the
documentation supplied by the adapter manufacturer
In case a Bluetooth adapter is already installed and working, you can jump directly to
the section Configuration modem BlueGate
Connect the adapter to a free USB port of your computer
Click on System Preferences and select Network
An informative window will appear for the detection of a new peripheral
Select Show:Active Network Ports and enable the Modem Bluetooth USB Adapter
Select show: Modem Bluetooth USB Adapter
Select the TCP/IP folder and select Configure: PPP Connection. You can leave the
other fileds empty
Select the PPP folder
Insert the settings necessary for the Internet access like userid, password, telephone
number, select Store password
Click on PPP Options and check the settings, eventually select enable detailed report,
useful in case problems occur during the connection to the ISP. Close the Option panel
Select the Bluetooth Modem folder
Select Modem: Apple Personal Modem*, verify it is enabled Enables error
correction..., that is not selected Wait for the dial tone..., that are selected Sound ON,
Shows the status of in the menu bar and Shows tyhe modem status in the menus
bar
Note*: Once the Internet connection has been carried out, you can download a specific driver for your
BlueGate from the digicom's website www.digicom.it
Apply the modifications and close the Network panel
