Main Requirements
To use BlueGATE it is necessary to have the following:
An anolog telephone line
One or more computers (both Windows® or Macintosh®) with Bluetooth technology.
Even if you find on the market the first laptops with built-in Bluetooth modules, it's much
easier and cheaper to equip your computer with an external USB adapter like the
digicom's Palladio USB Bluetooth
Distances
BlueGATE can reach distances up to a maximum of 10mt.
Attention
The maximum distance may change depending on the operation environment and is intended in
free air (without going through walls and obstacles).
LED Indicators
BlueGATE has got a series of LED indicators
for the main interface circuits.
BT (Bluetooth):
SD (Send Data):
RD (Receive Data):
CD (Carrier Data):
OH (On/Off HOOK): It indicates the modem engaged the telephone line
PW (Power):
It indicates that the
Bluetooth radio side
is present and operating
It indicates the presence of data on
the transmission circuit
It indicates the presence of data on the reception circuit
It indicates the modem is connected with the remone one
It indicates BlueGATE is correctly powered
