Playback with LinkStation or TeraStation
Now that your LinkStation or TeraStation has been configured with PCast support, you'll be able to stream media
files to LinkTheater.
Access your LinkStation or TeraStation by pressing the 'Home' button
on the remote control. The Home page will appear and a new device
will automatically appear on the display or TV. The friendly name of
your LinkStation or TeraStation will appear. Use the remote control's
directional pad to select the friendly name and press the 'Enter' key on
the remote control.
Once you have logged in, the Media Server will start. Just select the
type of media you wish to play. Additionally, the 'Video', 'Music', and
'Photo' buttons on the remote can be used to select the media type at
any time while browsing.
Video Playback
Press the 'Enter' button to play a video file from your LinkTheater or
TeraStation. During the video the 'Pause' button will pause the video's
playback (the 'Play' button will resume the video). The 'Rew' and 'FF'
buttons will rewind and fast forward the video. The 'Stop' button will
stop the video playback altogether.
On the top of the Media Server display, there are three buttons:
Play all – Plays all of the files inside of the current folder in alphabetical
order.
Play randomly – Plays all of the files inside of the current folder in
random order.
Back – Jumps back to the previous location or folder.
If there are several files in the folder, you may be required to switch between pages. Pages can be switched by
manually navigating to the arrows in the top right area of the Media Server display. Alternatively, the 'Prev' or 'Next'
buttons on the remote will change pages.
