The functional checks take about 60 minutes to perform. Refer
to the Ultrasound system user documentation whenever
necessary.
Ultrasound system functional checks
Verify basic B-Mode (2D) operation. Check the basic Ultrasound system
controls that affect this mode of operation.
Verify basic CF-Mode (Color Flow Mode) operation. Check the basic
Ultrasound system controls that affect this mode of operation.
Where applicable, verify basic Doppler operation (PW and CW if
available). Check the basic Ultrasound system controls that affect this
mode of operation.
Verify basic M-Mode operation. Check the basic Ultrasound system
controls that affect this mode of operation.
Where applicable, verify basic 3D Mode operation.
Check the basic system controls that affect this mode of operation.
Where applicable, verify basic RealTime 4D Mode operation.
Check the basic system controls that affect this mode of operation.
Check Distance and Tissue Depth Measurement.
Perform an Element Test on each probe to verify that all the probe
elements and Ultrasound system channels are functional, where
applicable.
Verify the basic operation of all optional modes.
Check the basic system controls that affect each options operation.
Perform the Automatic Tests, where applicable.
Verify that all system XMIT/RECV channels are functional, where
applicable.
Perform the Operating Panel Test Procedure.
Do the interactive keyboard test.
Where applicable, verify basic Touch Panel display functions.
Verify basic monitor display functions.
