SALT BLOCK
Congratulation of the purchase of your new Salt Block. The
Salt Block provides a platform for cooking, seasoning and
serving food in a natural and healthy way. Sourced from pink
rock salt in the Himalayas, the Salt Block is then polished and
brought to your home. You might see some imperfections,
which are a proof of its mineral nature and do not impact
usage or performance.
The Salt Block needs to be pre-conditioned before first
usage. Please read the instructions carefully.
SAFETY
WANING:
Risk of injury, burns.
• This product can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the product in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.
• Do not let children play with the appliance.
• Keep all packaging away from children and dispose of it
appropriately.
• Keep children and pets away from the appliance when it
operates or when it cools down. Accessible parts are hot.
• Children shall not carry out cleaning and user maintenance
of the appliance without supervision
• Children aged 3 years and under must be kept away from
this accessory when it is in operation at all times.
• Always use oven gloves when touching the Salt Block or
the Stainless Steel
• Do not use oil on the Salt Block.
• WARNING: Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can
be dangerous and may result in fire.
• NEVER try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off
the appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fire
blanket.
• CAUTION: The cooking process has to be supervised.
A short term cooking process has to be supervised
continuously.
• Use a protective material to protect the surface when
placing the product on the table or on the countertop
• Heat up your Salt Block slowly/gradually to avoid cracking.
• The Salt Block needs to be completely dry before you heat
it up.
• Always heat up or cool down the Salt Block starting from
room temperature.
• The Salt Block will change color depending on how you
heat it up, and what you cook. This will not affect the
performance of the product.
• The Salt Block keeps both heat and cold well; keep this in
mind when touching/ moving it.
• Do not clean your Salt Block in the dishwasher.
• When you lift Salt Block take it in the middle, if you lift it
holding by the corner, Salt Block might break.
• The manufacturer is not responsible for any injuries
or damages that are the result of incorrect installation
or usage. Always keep the instructions in a safe and
accessible location for future reference.
BEFORE FIRST USE
You need to pre-condition your Salt Block before the first
use.
• Insert the Salt Block in the oven without the stainless steel
rack.
• Switch on the oven and set the temperature at 100°C for
20 minutes,
• then 150°C for 15 minutes,
• 200°C for 10 minutes
• Finally increase the temperature at 250°C or at maximum
temperature and maintain it for 2 hours without opening
the door of the oven.
• Let the Salt Block cool down in the oven for at least 5 hours
without opening the door.
Now your Salt Block is properly pre-conditioned and ready to
be used for your culinary enjoyment.
USAGE
Induction Hob
• Start with lower temperature for 20 minutes and then
increase to the higher temperature. Never use the boost/
power function when heating up your Salt Block.
• Maximum power (induction) Level 8 of 9, or 13 of 14.
• 180/210mm zones max level 8/13 (max 1500W).
• Can be used on a 210mm zone, 220mm zone or bridge
zone.
Gas hob
• Place the Salt Block on the low flame for 20 minutes, 15 min
on medium and for 10 minutes on the high flame.
• The Salt Block can be heated with or without the Stainless
Steel rack.
• The gas flame can cause color changes to the stainless
steel rack, this will not affect the functionality.
Oven
• Put the Salt Block in the oven and heat it up to 100
degrees, then increase the temperature by 50 degrees.
Once the temperature is reached, increase the temperature
by 50 degrees each time to reach optimal temperature for
your cooking method.
• The Salt Block can be used in the oven without the
stainless steel bottom.
• The Salt Block gets very hot, handle with caution.
• Do not apply steam when heating your Salt Block.
• Its recommended to use the oven to heat the Salt Block
and benefit from the long lasting temperature, cooking at
the table.
BBQ
Use the Salt Block without the Stainless Steel bottom.
FREEZER
Use the Salt Block without the Stainless Steel bottom.
Freeze for minimum 1 hour.
Ensure that your Salt Block holds room temperature or lower
before freezing it.
Do not heat up a frozen Salt Block using oven/hob/micro/
BBQ.

CLEANING AND STORING

Salt is a natural material and proven antibacterial. Over time,
your Salt Block will change color depending on the food you
are cooking. This will not affect the function of the Salt Block
and as long as you ensure that your remove food residues
from the surface of the Salt Block, the taste will go away. After
several usages, you can use sand paper to polish the surface
of the Salt Block, which you have been using for cooking.
