Grab the shoulder part of the belt

near the buckle, and pull up to
remove any slack from the lap part
of the belt. Remember, if the lap
part of the belt is not tight, the
child restraint system will not be
secure.
To remove slack, put weight on
the child restraint system, or push
on the back of the restraint system
while pulling up on the belt.

Secure the belt in the slit by

pushing up the tab. Make sure the
belt is not twisted and it is
positioned properly in the slit.
When pushing up the tab, make
sure to pull up the upper shoulder
part of the lap/shoulder belt to
remove any slack from the belt.
