Adding water will prolong the life of your blades and prevent the jug from scratching with excess use. Ice is completely crushed when it has a snow flake texture.

Never immerse the motor base unit, mains lead or plug in water or any other liquid. Never use harsh abrasive cleaners or cleaning materials. Remove the lid of your blender and fill the jug about one third full with lukewarm water. Add one drop of washing up liquid. Replace the blending jug lid and stopper.
