• Number-1 Phillips screwdriver or a small flat-blade screwdriver
• ESD-preventive wrist strap
• Tape to secure DC circuit breaker handle—Applicable for routers that use DC power

Basic Workflow for Installing the E-Series Server or the SM E-Series NCE in the SM Slot
Color
State
Green
• Steady—CIMC and the CPU are both operating normally.
• Blinking—The CPU is operating normally, and CIMC is booting up.
Amber
• Steady—CIMC is operating normally, and the CPU is powered down.
• Blinking—CIMC is in the process of booting up, and the CPU is powered down.
Green
Left LED shows the speed of the Ethernet cable:
• 1 Blink—10 Mb/s speed.
• 2 Blinks—100 Mb/s speed.
• 3 Blinks—1 Gb/s speed.
Green
Right LED shows whether the link is established.
• Steady—Link is established.
• Off—No link is established.
This is memory installed on the DIMM 0 slot.
This is the DIMM 1 slot.
This is the DIMM 2 slot.
