31.1.10 ip rip authentication mode

Use this command to define the RIP authentication mode in the interface configuration
mode. The no form of this command is used to restore it to the default RIP authentication
mode.

Enable plaintext authentication.
md5
Enable MD5 authentication.
It is the plaintext authentication by default.
Interface configuration mode.
To exchange RIP routing information directly, all devices must have
the same RIP authentication mode. Otherwise, the RIP packet
exchange will fail.
The RIPv1 does not support RIP authentication but the RIPv2 does.
