This motorcyc le

provisions for adjusting
the headlight
in both the vertical and horizon

tions.

adjustmen

headlight

The headlight is
normally
ad-
justed
in
the
vertical
direction
so that
the
center of
the
beam
intersects
the
ground
at a point
165
feet (50 m)
in
front of
the
motorcycle in the
riding
attitude.
2. The horizontal
adjustment
is
made
with
the adjusting screw

located on
the
left side of
th
e
headlight when
facing the motorcycle.

Stoplight Switch

side near the rear

engine.
1.
First
check the
adjustment
of
the rear
brake peda
l
in
accordance
wi
th
the
procedure
on page 45
to
make
sure
that
the brakes are properly adjusted.
2.
Turn
the ignition
switch on
(r
ed
dot
position).
3. Adjust the
stoplight switch so tha
t
the
stoplight lights when the brake
pedal
is
depressed to the point where
the
brake
just
starts
to
take hold
.
If the
stoplight switch is
late
in switching
on
the stoplight, screw
in
@
the switch
adjus

and
if
the stop light
comes
on too
early,
screw
out
