5.4 Lockout Feature

Introduction
The lockout feature in the UDC2300 is used to inhibit changes (via keyboard) of certain
functions or parameters by unauthorized personnel.
Lockout levels
There are different levels of Lockout depending on the level of security required. These
levels are:
• NONE
• CAL
• CONF
• VIEW
• ALL
See Subsection 4.4 - LOCK Parameters Set Up Group prompts to select one of the
above.
Security Code (see Section 5.3)
Key error
When a key is pressed and the prompt "Key Error" appears in the lower display, it will be
for one of the following reasons:
• Parameter not available or locked out
• Not in setup mode, press

To enter a four digit number in the upper display
This will be your security code.
No Lockout. All groups Read/Write.
Calibration prompts are deleted from the Setup List.
Configuration Parameters are read only; no writes permitted
Timer, Tuning, and SP Ramp are Read/Write. No other parameters are
available.
Only the Lockout group is available for read /write. No other parameters
are viewable.
