Work Area Safety

• Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or
dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate equipment in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or
dust. Equipment can create sparks which may ignite
the dust or fumes.
4
• Keep children and by-standers away while operating
equipment. Distractions can cause you to lose control.

Electrical Safety

• Double-insulated tools are equipped with a polarized
plug (one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully in the plug, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a
polarized outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
Double insulation eliminates the need for the three-
wire grounded power cord and grounded supply
system.
• Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces
!
such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electrical shock if your
body is earthed or grounded.
• Do not expose equipment to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering equipment will increase the risk of
electrical shock.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for
carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving
